* Main purpose of a server in the main bar is to serve all beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to guests in keeping with hotel standards. To serve food that is available from all menus. Insure consistent products and service. Collection of all menus or transfer of bill to other outlets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Key Activities)

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

* Thorough knowledge of alcoholic beverages and proper service procedures. Thorough knowledge of food menus and proper service procedures.

* Ensure opening duties are performed as posted at the beginning of each shift. Ensure closing duties are performed as posted at the end of each shift.

* Responsible for guest relations including guest's name and product preferences. Ensure proper quality of food and beverage product.

* Ensure drinks and food are served in a timely manner including the transfer of drinks into the restaurant.

* Thorough knowledge of and correct application of all hotel policies, procedures, and practices. Maintain all standards as set by RMOTC.

* Monitor guests' consumption of alcohol and knowledge of procedures for handling intoxicated guests.

* Ensure all checks are collected for and closed accordingly. Thorough knowledge of the Micros system and codes.

Job Requirements Experience -

* Minimum of one year experience in food and beverage in a fine dining or casually elegant upscale environment.

* Per TABC regulations must be at least 18 years old.
